Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)
A Youth Leadership conference for students aged 15-17 years. The conference is conducted over a weekend camp designed to develop young people’s potential through a mixture of lecture-style sessions and adventure-based learning.
Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) Annual Assembly for teams of two or more senior students from local secondary schools where they represent a United Nations country. Students use research, debating and public speaking skills to address a wide range of current issues on matters of world political and social concern. The program extends over a weekend and it is chaired and judged by Rotarians.
Rotary Youth Exchange
Through the youth exchange program, students spend a year studying and living with Rotary volunteer host families. Currently, we are hosting an inbound student from France and sponsoring a student to go to Italy. We also worked in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Gisborne to co-host an overseas exchange student from Germany.
National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)
Year 12 Program - gives students that are about to start Year 12 a broader understanding of study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). We support a student to attend the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra.
