About Us
Our Mission
It is our mission to embrace the ideals of Rotary International, contributing to a better Community and a better world through significant humanitarian service while providing extraordinary opportunities for networking, fellowship, friendship and personal growth.

Our Meetings
Our meetings are friendly, welcoming, informative and enjoyable. Each week we hear progress reports from current projects, and hear from interesting Guest Speakers.
​
Club Members are encouraged to attend meetings when they can, with attendees averaging around 25 - 30 members.
​
Meetings are held most Thursday evenings, we take a break on the fourth Thursday of the month.
Meet us for drinks 6.30 pm for a 7:00 pm start. The meeting duration is generally two hours.

OUR PROJECTS
The Rotary Club of Woodend has established or is involved in, a number of major projects providing a significant contribution to local and offshore communities. These projects are:

The New Woodend Star – community newspaper publish by The Rotary Club of Woodend

Plastic Free Bali Project

The Vanuatu project, we have built 2 classrooms and an school office, installed a Solar power system, a water tank, and wash stations. Current activity is to build toilets and an outdoor sheltered classroom.

For our local community - constructed a Woodend Rotary Exercise Track, built a Rotary Centenary contemplation space by 5 mile creek, provided solar panels for the Woodend Primary School and Woodend play group, and many more enriching additions to local groups and organisations.

Major supporter of Operation Cleft - generate enough fundraising income to pay for around 10 operations per year.

Support Disaster Aid Australia

Rotary Foundation

provide financial assistance to local groups who's service is aligned with the ideals of Rotary
